"heritage found"
I just read my profile and my comments about "Donde Viven Los Monstruos" (Where the Wild Things Are) reminded me that I am half Salvadorian. Hmm. It seems like somebody with all that Hispanic blood flowing throughout their body would be a little bit less... white. I don't think of myself as being that pale, but apparently other people do. I am darker than my mother, which is not saying a lot because she's one of those Irish whites who burns in partly cloudy weather after twenty minutes in the sun. I still consider it a victory. I do thank my father's heritage for my hair. Thank you El Salvador. It's pitch black, something not seen naturally on most people of my - ahem - color. Everybody always asks me if things on me are "natural." Mostly with my hair though. As if I would ever take the proper grooming time to actually make my hair this curly from nothingness- ha!
